In my time, I have had to present various different presentations in front of groups. Below is just a sample of some of the presentations that I have given publicly:
Residence Life Decision Making Workshop Presentation 1. (August 2012-May 2013)
Creating the Share your Values, Show your P.R.I.D.E Workshop (Presented at PCPA)
- This presentation was assigned to students who violated the code of conduct. I served as co-chair to facilitate this workshop for the department. Originally a committee came together and took what originally existed and pieced together the workshop.
- This presentation was a revised workshop of the previous workshop. Between the Spring and Fall semester I made some editions to the workshop and changed the power point presentation to allow for a smoother flow of the workshop as well as expanding on some of the concepts trying to develop a more clear sense of values and ethics for the students.
- Share your Values, Show your P.R.I.D.E. Workbook for Participants
- This presentation was the decision making workshop. After spending an entire year on revamping the workshop, the goal was to try to avoid saying “Decision Making” because of the negative undertones that come with assigning a decision making workshop. The committee worked really hard to make sure that the overall presentation was interactive and engaging, yet based in theory. After lots of benchmarking and discussions, this was the reformed workshop.
Creating the Share your Values, Show your P.R.I.D.E Workshop (Presented at PCPA)
- After developing the workshop, it was important to vet the process and make sure that we were going in the right direction. We presented this workshop at the Pennsylvania College Personnel Association 2014 conference to get feedback and ideas from peers in the field at other institutions in the state of Pennsylvania. In this presentation, we wanted to highlight how we chose the activities that we chose and why we chose them to create a scaffolded learning process for students in the workshop.
