Leadership Development and Training are two major passions of mine. In my time, I have been directly responsible for planning and implementing various leadership development and training opportunities. Below are some the training programs I have developed:
Eco Rep Fall Training and Orientation - Fall 2015 (Penn State University)
Housing Tech Staff Training - Spring Break 2015 (Penn State University)
Eco Rep Fall Training and Orientation - Fall 2014 (Penn State University)
- Working closely with the Assistant Director of Housing and supervisor of the ECO REP program, I created a fall training/orientation schedule for the ECO REPs based upon a curriculum that the Assistant Director and I had created that would: 1) Facilitate team building opportunities, 2) jump start the ECO REP knowledge on sustainability initiatives at Penn State and 3) provide leadership development to first year students. There were 3 student interns, 8 upperclass mentors and around 33 first year eco reps.Housing Tech Staff Training - Spring Break 2015 (Penn State University)

- Penn State Housing asked Residence Life to put together a training program for their housing tech staff members over Spring Break. The training program would be offered to about 400 employees that work for the Housing Department at Penn State. The Housing Department wanted to focus on Housing’s values, customer service from a student centered approach, and morale/team building for the department. The training was called, “Your Paw Print Matters,” and each paw print represented 1 of the 5 values of the Penn State Housing Department. A part of the training asked each person to take the true colors personality inventory and at the end of the training each housing staff member received a t-shirt based upon their color that had the 5 values listed on the back in a paw print.
Eco Rep Fall Training and Orientation - Fall 2014 (Penn State University)
- The Housing Department supervises an peer-to-peer mentoring group of first year students who work to provide sustainability education to the East Halls Residential Area. The group is made up of 30 first year students and 10 upper-class mentors. Housing asked Residence Life to create and implement an orientation program that would allow for team building/bonding for the eco reps and leadership development.
- As a Residence Life Coordinator, it was my responsibility to plan and implement Fall RA Training for 101 RA’s at Penn State University in the East Halls Residential Area.
